This is a tutorial on how to make decorated cloths pins.. this tutorial will be used in my DIY project in the next post... but i wanted to show you how to make these little cloths pins first! I have seen these on etsy and i decided to make my own, there might be a lot of tutorials on how to make these but this is the way i did them :) Enjoy! P.S. you can use these for so many things Weddings, Birthdays, Cards... ect. Possibilities are endless... or shoot, sell them! There are so many working families that just don't have the time to make these little cloths pins that they would love to buy!
(Sorry about the pictures below, they were taken with my iphone and not so great!)
Supplies:
Modge Podge (found at hobby lobby)
(1) brush (found at hobby lobby)
(2) Medium Wooden Clothes Pins (Found at Walmart) (set of 12 each)
Scrapbook paper (found at Hobby Lobby)
This tutorial is used to make 24 cloths pins (its for my project in the next post) You can find these medium cloths pins at Walmart, in the School supplies section where you find office stuff, like paper clips..ect... they have smaller ones too that are super cute. Regular size cloths pins you can find in the ironing board section of walmart.
First cut a piece of scrapbook paper the size of the top of your cloths pin... You can use scissors too
Cut to fit top of cloths pin... ugh someone needs to tell my husband that i need a manicure.. LOL
I cut 12 of each kind, cut a few extra just in case ;)
make sure these clips are popped into place so you have a clean finish... then add a thin coat of modge podge on top and put your scrapbook paper on top. I did all 24.
then you want to put a layer of modge podge (dries clear) on top and around the scrapbook so you have a nice harden decorated cloth pin
All done! Super easy to have a fashionable cloths pin for the holidays or change up the scrapbook paper and use the pins for any occasion!
Check out next post on how i used these cute little cloths pins!
