Custom Order :)

Oh YaY, first custom order... One of the girls at Brandon's job is going to a friends Birthday party... she is turing 1!!! She wanted Viking colors (Purple & Yellow) and this is what i came up with! I hope they like it!

Tunic...

I stayed up forever last night with my sewing machine... woah friday night and i am at home with my sewing machine... party animal... LOL. I want to sell little shirts that match my shoes.... so i decided to make somewhat of a pillowcase tunic.... after 20 million rejects, i finally sewed one that is normal looking... haha.... the only fabric i had left was black and brown... i am not too crazy about those colors together... but that is all i had left because most of my fabric for shoes are only a quarter size so this color was the largest piece i had. Here is my little doll modeling my shirt i made for her.

Bob.... The Cat.

The other day i was in my bedroom after i laid taylor down to go to bed i heard a meowww.... and it sounded like it was coming through the air vents... freaked me out because i looked through the window and couldn't see anything (the meow was super loud) so i though maybe the cat is downstairs because it sounded like he was in our house... i go in the room downstairs and i hear it again, the cat is under the stairs outside the window right next to the vent from our dryer (considering it was like 2 degrees at night I'm sure the cat is snuggled next to it.) So i figured the stray cat would just go away or back to its home... no he stuck around... so i felt bad, i had left over wet dog food a couple of cans... so i gave a can to the cat... he came back the next day and i gave him another can... So technically i adopted an outside cat. I suppose as long as he stays around i will give him food... but i am highly allergic to cats, so he will never be our indoor cat... Since he's ours... we named him Bob... (like bobcat.. duh.. hahaha) Here are a few pictures of bob... i feel bad for him out there in the snow.. but he is safer outside then at the vet because hardly anyone adopts older cats and they will just put him down.... sad.. so sad. (i hope he is a boy cat.. haha)

Fabric Store

Today Taylor and I went to Joann Fabrics to pick up some stuff to make shoes, i just really wanted to get out of the house and that seemed like a pretty good place to go... ugh and it was spitting snow and its just so cold!! I took a few photos of her before we went out... she was in a good mood!!! The little old fabric lady's were loving Taylor and her headband... aww makes me smile :)


We got home and she crashed in her car seat, she even tried to kick off her shoes... lol.


Of course her good behavior did not last she is just super fussy now so here are a few pictures of today and now i have to go attempt to make dinner.... yikes.

6lbs down.....

Ok...don't judge my muffin top... yes this shirt is a little tight, i was wearing a sweater over it... LOL Good new though, lost more weight for last week.... so now since i've started working out and eating a lot LESS... haha i have lost 6lbs 8oz. (every oz counts to me!) Pretty much since i have started this diet/exercise i have lost about a pound a week... not too bad, i just wish the process was a bit faster! This is me and Taylor before we went to TGIFridays... she is wearing my little shoes i made her!

These are some new shoes i made a couple of days ago...

I never knew a sewing machine would be so complicated... like it has little quirks and if you don't know about them, everything gets messed up and there is a bunch of thread everywhere! Sooo i was thinking that it was the sewing machine that was broken and not a good one, the problem was... me... yes... i confess, it was all me. Now that i figured out what was going on, i love my sewing machine again.

Past few days have been pretty laid back, still wondering when the sun is going to come out again and try to melt this snow... this snow that we have had on the ground since late Oct... i have not seen grass since i went to TN for Thanksgiving... i'm so ready for spring... not even kidding!!!

Aww here is my baby at TGIFridays she was super tired and just fell asleep while sitting in Brandon's lap.

Sweet Potatoes

Today i decided to try out Sweet potatoes... thinking she would hate them because i don't like them, neither does Brandon... well i like sweet potato fries... but that is something different... anyways... she LOVED them!!!! like licking the bowl clean loved them!!!


I am so excited that she is finally opening her mouth to a spoon knowing that she is going to get something YUMMY! hopefully she likes something else than sweet potatoes....

La...La...La....

Pretty laid back the past couple of days, just been hanging out with Taylor and made a new shoe! So far, i have 3 styles and there are so many more in my head! haha... Im not sure if you ever experienced this before....but when i used to be a server i used to get "Server Nightmares" where everything was chaos... well i am starting to have these dreams but about baby shoes... LOL... Summer needs to hurry and get here i think im going crazy!! HAHA. This is the Kendall...


Taylor got a package yesterday from her Mam-ma... New clothes!!!!! 6-9 months and they fit!! well a little big but she is only almost 5 months... i need to make shoes to match her little outfits from her Mam-Ma and her Oma!!! Can't wait for summer... oh, did i already say that? haha..

Haha... So i have decided to sell my little shoes i make... I also decided to make girl names for the shoes... so i can remember which one is which, or if someone has a question they can just tell me the name and i know what they are talking about! so this is the first shoe that i took a picture and named...

Family!!!!

The past few days Oma & Opa came to Wisconsin to visit us!!! It was such a great weekend! It is really nice to have family come up to the Arctic.... any friends/family reading this, you know our doors are always open!! Plus Brandon really enjoyed having a 3 day off work/school weekend... We took Oma & Opa to "Hell's Kitchen" in downtown Minneapolis... we were celebrating their 30th anniversary, amazing 30 years.... I should of brought my camera to the restaurant because the decorations were hilarious and I have never seen anything like it.... I'm sure its controversial in a way because the restaurant is suppose to look like "Hell" LOL. (Seriously, it is all in good fun!) I had a ribeye and it was the best steak i have had so far!! Well Mrs. Darla (oma) had the same thing and she got hers cooked medium Rare.... Soooo better then mine ( i got mine medium)!! I will for sure, have to get brandon to take me back to that restaurant! On top of that, Taylor was an Angel the entire time!!! (shocking...haha). We had a really good time catching up and visiting!
Taylor has a small cold.... nothing too bad, knock on wood its just the sniffles and it goes away!!! Plus, she is teething... so I'm sure she is miserable... and she makes sure Brandon and I know! haha... Here are a few pictures of the weekend!





On Sunday, Valentines day... Brandon had to work (of course with working in the restaurant business!) so we all went up there to hang out with him when the place slowed down... and we watched this new T.V. show "Undercover Boss" it was about Hooters that night... i think i am going to like that T.V. show!!! Brandon had made me flowers.... out of tin foil...haha... super creative and unique... and they will never die...!!!! haha....



Here are two more shoes that i have been working on.... the red pair were the first to try elastic band... which i made too big, so the next pair fits Taylor perfect!

Tired....

Not much happening the past few days.... just that i have a crabby baby!! i don't know if it is her teeth, or she is just annoyed with me. Haha... She is always winey, if we put her down... if we are holding her she is fine! I tried just letting her cry it out, but she is persistent and i get scared because her cries sound scary! So i usually go through all my options, hungry, wet, tired... and after i exercised all my options and she is still fussy.... i try baby Einstein!! I don't like to sit taylor in front of the T.V. all day... but sometimes i just need 30 min of no fussiness and baby Einstein calms her down and puts her in a trance...lol, i suppose that is not good...but it works. So nothing else new with Taylor... we are still feeding her baby rice cereal once a day usually just a teaspoon, if that she usually gags the entire time... usually after her first nap we do the rice cereal... then if we get bored in the late afternoon i will try a step 1 food... like bananas or applesauce... so far she just gags... right now the doctor said this is just practice and that until 6 months is when i am suppose to put her on a schedule with baby food for nutrition... right now the formula gives her all her calories!

So i have been doing the jillian Michael's video.... i couldn't work out today because i woke up this morning and felt like i got in a car accident, my whole body was stiff and my back still hurts... ugh... when i sit down or stand up my thighs burn like crazy... brandon said that i haven't used those musles in a long time soooo its going to hurt... well i suppose if it makes me lose these 23 pounds i guess i can suffer...

Past few days i have been experimenting with my sewing machine i got for christmas... let me tell you, sewing is harder then it looks... i have skin coming off my fingers from pining down fabric.... geeze i don't know how fashion designers or seamstress do it... hear is another photo of the shoes i made Taylor...



I also got really bored today, so i sat taylor in her bumbo and i painted her toenails... omg... painting little baby toenails is so hard!!! apparetnly from the picture i didn't do too well!!... i only painted her toes because she can't stick her toes in her mouth yet... unlike her fingers are always in her mouth and i don't want nail polish in my baby's mouth! haha.



Also... here is Taylor in this little onsie my mom got for her while she was in Texas for eddy's graduation... this shirt is so true... well until she can talk of course!!! but she is the boss right now! she does look like a little boy in this photo... but we all know she is a girly girl!!!!

Creativity.... Kind of Refreshing....

You know... after you had a really good workout, then take a shower and you just feel 100 times better??? Well that is the kind of feeling i had yesterday when i started to use my extra time to be creative. The finish product wasn't that bad, i think its kind of cute!!! Of course its for Taylor, she is my inspiration because she consumes my life! Really when we first moved to eau claire i was only concerned about finding a job, of course i found a job with only 2 people working there!! haha...and umm mid 30s men are not really my idea of friends to hang out with... then of course as you know, i got pregnant... well working was pretty much all brandon and I did the moment we found out we were expecting and pretty much every single cent went into our savings account... so we have lived here for almost 2 years and i have not made any effort to make any friends... i suppose i could attend church (woah that is a whole other post!) but i am not the kind of person to go to "mommy and me" classes... super uncomfortable... Anyway.... as you can tell, I pretty much made my own BFF...haha... she is my life and i love her sooo much!! The past few days Taylor has been taking 2 hour mid-morning naps... so it gives me time to work on little things for her... I asked for a sewing machine for christmas... because i wanted to make Taylor a quilt or something, ahh i don't think quilting is for me though.

Also, i am not going to be one of "THOSE" mom's... you know what i am talking about.... well, maybe you don't... but i know when i was in grade school the girls used to make fun of the other girls who wore clothes that were handmade... maybe times have changed... but that memory has always stayed with me... i never wanted to sew goofy looking clothes and put them on my older child.... now babies, toddlers... totally different, its just cute... but when you get to REAL school... kids are just plain mean and i am just not going to do that to my daughter...

Well here are a few projects that i have been working on... and I'm sure i will be making a lot more for my little sweetie, considering there is not much to do outside with all the snow... and i don't want to spend any money by going to the mall... so this is a little fun hobby that will help me pass the winter :) So as of today i have made taylor a pair of shoes, and two flower headbands!









P.S. No weight loss for last week... well the scale said this morning from last week .4 ounces gone... HAHA.. so i don't think it counts.. i did do my new jillian Michael's video yesterday and OMG i am hurting so bad today...and that was only level 1 I did!
