Fearless!

This little girl is 23 months.... almost 2 years old... like 1 week from now!!! We went to the local mall today just to get out of the house and every time we walk past this jumping thing Taylor always stares and points "Weeeeee" like she wants to go on it... i just thought, she is way to young, she would FREAK OUT! So i never let her get on it... WELL, today Brandon and I were at the mall and she did it again... i said "why don't we just let her on it.... $7.00, not a big loss if we have to take her down if she freaks out." Brandon was not all about it... he had the same thoughts i had before, but once he saw taylor run up to that fence. he was like... alright lets give it a go.... and what do you know, a fearless 2 year old having a blast!    Aww her hair is getting longer!!!

She did not let go of her puppy dog, she held on to it so tight. We took the flim below, pretty crappy footage, it was with brandon's iphone camera (my finger was over the speaker so it will get louder in a min)... but you can see how much she loved it! Especially at the end when we said it was time to go.... i turned off the camera before i got the massive meltdown on flim. Ugh it was not pretty.

How everyone had a wonderful weekend!!! Good Night!

Surprise!

Lita & Grandpa came over on Sunday to bring Taylor her Birthday gift!!! They were going to wait till her actual birthday party to give it to her, but since her birthday is in Oct (starting to get cold) they wanted her to get the most use out of it. It all started with this at 10:30am :

omg... a bunch of screws... there must have been at least 50 bags of all different screws.

I was making taylor lunch, while she ate on the porch... i was supervising the crew.

She already knows what this does and she wanted to test it out, 1 min after i took this picture she slipped and hit her head, no more standing on that slippery slide!

Almost there... i think its like 2 o'clock... then they figure out that they are missing screws!! apparently there was a change in directions, there was an "insert" that says no where on the instruction booklet that there is an insert so my mom, taylor and I made a trip to Home Depot for substitution screws.

Adding the final details.... almost done!

Yay!! Testing out the swing... a little big for Taylor... Finished at 4:30pm.. took 6 hours to build, pretty good considering the reviews online said 8-10 some said 2 weekends!

She was going so fast down that slide... she gave Lita a bloody lip when Taylor head butted her :(

This was Grandpa's "oh shit" moment when Taylor decided to point at something, as he looked away for a second taylor decided to slide... he then attempted to catch her, i caught it on camera! LOL

Daddy having fun with Taylor!

After much thought, Lita, Taylor and I decided to go back to Home Depot (i think for the 3rd time that day) to get more beer, and a bucket seat... which is so much easier to push her, and safer!!

Grandpa put BabyDoll on the swing bar, Taylor didn't like it that much! haha.

As soon as we took a break, the rain came.... pretty good timing!! It rained the next two days, so finally today we got to go outside and play on her new playground! She calls her playground a "Weeeeeeeeee" every time we would come inside and take a break she would tilt her head, put out one hand to the side and question "WEEEeeeeeeeeEEE???" yes, Taylor we can go back on the Weeeeeee.

~Good Night~

Snuggling in the rain...

A couple days ago Oma bought Taylor this blanket over that she had made (DORA!), i promise you... it is the warmest blanket ever... Brandon said he was going to steal it from Taylor and put it on our bed for the winter...LOL.. he's silly, but oh so true! I didn't think fleece was that warm but apparently it is! It started lighting and thundering outside so they went out to the front porch while i was upstairs sewing, i came down with my camera for a quick picture before the rain came pouring down! Brandon looks like a deer in headlights, but it was pitch black out side and my camera lit up the front porch..haha. Another post tomorrow, Good night!

What to give a two year old?!?!?!

Last year for Taylor's first birthday was WAY harder to decide what to get her for her birthday, this year seemed like a piece of cake! She is starting to "like" things and show interest! Of course her #1 is Dora, i am about over Dora... and i think we own everything with that little girls face on it from PJs to toothbrush and toys, Dora the Explorer is a giant marketing scam that we have fell for, over and over again! LOL! But makes her happy so i suppose it is worth it! So a few gifts that i think would be awesome if anyone needs help picking out a gift Taylor will enjoy:

Kids table with chairs-  she loves to color and i can see many art works created here! Plus it matches our bonus room perfect! Mom and Dad were going to get this, but they decided on a different gift, still think its cool!  Found HERE
Kitchen Set- Taylor LOVES to pretend to cook... she has a small plastic one but it looks like a giant pot, which taylor just rips the top off it and throws her pretend cooking utensils and says "cook, cook" These pink ones by kidkraft are ADORABLE... found HERE and HERE

Other than coloring and cooking.... Taylor is very into baby dolls!!! She has a lot of baby dolls and strollers but these would be cute gifts too! I got taylor a baby doll bed for christmas, no joke... i am already starting my christmas shopping.

All these toys i found at walmart.com, and she is starting to love the alphabet, elmo and tinkerbell.. she can say "barbie" but she perfers to play with baby dolls...  :) I can already tell we are going to have so much fun playing make believe as she gets older, can't wait till she gets her daddy ready for a tea party! I will have my camera waiting.... Okay the next time i post about Taylor's birthday.... it will be after the 8th of Oct!

So the past few days we have been in the yard, Brandon has been tilling and putting new seed down... i have been digging new flower/monkey grass beds and painting a rocking chair that my mom and dad gave us, it was white... i painted it dark brown because our house has no white on the outside.

She was the supervisor... bossing us around, telling us what to do, like usual.

Taylor loves the dirt, being outside.... but she loves music (she will cover her ears if the song is not to her liking) and dancing, she can still be a ballerina! haha. Good Night!

How old are you Taylor? TWO!

Taylor's Birthday is approaching! Yippy! We have been practicing her saying how old she is.... "Taylor how old are you?" she says "Twwwwweeeeooooooooo" as she throws up her two index fingers, she cant put two fingers but she usually puts up both index fingers, its really cute! Her party is on the 8th of Oct so we still have a month before she is two, but there is so much going on that everything is planned/bought. Im thinking about christmas right now... hahaha. Its going to be a really small party just family members, and grandparents... great grandparents are definitely invited, but they were just here so we understand if they can't make it this year :) For Taylor's first birthday party i did cupcake theme because i didn't know what else to pick, i didn't want a princess or some fun theme party because she was 1 she couldn't even walk yet.... the princess/ tea party will be when she is older and has friends that she can actually play with. The past year Taylor has been in LOVE with Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go! So this year Taylor will be having a FIESTA DORA party! She is starting to watch Elmo and sponge bob... i do not like sponge bob, just something about him creeps me out...but she enjoys it...lol. She has also started to love baby dolls, i am enjoying this phase of her life because she is so much like a little girl, and not so much a baby anymore. She calls them "My Babies" she gives them her sippy cup and her nite nite.... so precious.  I just love this picture of Taylor...

Welcome Home Dad!!!

Yay! My dad is back from Afghanistan... for good this time :) It is official he will be retiring by the end of this year. From what i know they will be moving to Ft. Rucker, AL by Nov 4th (Mom's Birthday!)  I'm going to need to step up my shoe business if i plan on making some trips to AL... ahh Destin Beach is real close, i am looking forward to spending time at the beach with Taylor and my family :)  My dad's flight came in at 12:20 pm... it was a very long drive to nashville ! It was too funny, I received a text from brandon saying Taylor is crying she has not stopped, we pulled in at almost 2am and my mom goes up stairs to get Taylor, and scares the crap out of Brandon because i forgot to text him back to let him know we were in the driveway.... woops.... funny funny.

Today Taylor and I went over to my parents house to hang out and eat dinner and visit, kind of worried that Taylor would freak out because she hasn't seen my dad (grandpa) in a couple months. Total opposite... grandpa had reinforcements: cabbage patch doll and a giant lollipop waiting for her today...  she calls all her baby dolls "My babies, My babies"

She was freaking me out with this lollipop, she could put the whole thing in her mouth... it was very sticky, cherry lollipop every where! She loved it though!!

I ran to wal-mart to go grocery shopping and my dad sent me this picture he said that they were "cooking" haha.

So glad to have my dad (grandpa!) back safe and sound in the US!
