And her second word is.....DADA!!!

a few days ago she has been chewing on her passy saying what we thought was "dada" we thought she was saying that but when we took her passy away from her she would stop talking!!! so today during naptime while i was in the kitchen brandon says come here quick... and we are standing in our bedroom and he says "I swear she said it... dada...." and Nothing... hahahaha... i was like Ooookkkk... so i went back to the kitchen and he said no, come quick.. so i grab my tiny camera (because it has a camcorder... its really crappy video but it works!) and there she was just talking up a storm... dada dada dada... no more mama mama mama... its like she is on to a new word so she forgot about the old.... if you didn't see the video to the Mama this is the "Mama Post" she said momma around 5 months, and Dada at 6 months, I am so proud of my little angel... she is going to be talking up a storm in no time... and telling her mama and dada "NO" im sure!!!! in the video we caught it on the baby monitor then we moved into her nursery to see if maybe we could get her to say it to us... she did twice!! We are so happy!!!!

This second video i have meaning to post.... it's Taylor, and she growls... a few weeks ago we were at Hancock Fabrics and i was at the cut counter and i went to get the fabric out of the cart and Taylor is in the front of the cart in her car seat and out of know where she starts to "Growl" at the fabric lady.... omg i felt embarrassed in a way... like "omg, my 6 month old daughter is growling at this lady" except it went on for a good min! The lady was like "Well that is a nice growl....ah so cute the noises baby makes" I have no idea where she picked up this growling but she was doing it for a good week.... luckly she stopped growling at me and brandon and random strangers!

Taylor just loves her Jenny Jump Up... she is still learning how to jump in it... but it is great exercise for those little legs to start crawling!!

Yesterday when we went to target to grab a few things we walked past this huge bin of bouncy balls.... of course Brandon had to stop and play... then he thought lets see if Taylor likes it.... SHE LOVED IT... she would not stop laughing, i think brandon bounced it off her head a couple times, and she thought it was hilarious... so we found a ball her size and she wouldn't stop playing with it... i think it will def be a good $3.00 toy to help her learn to crawl... since she hates HATES being on her stomach, she is distracted by the ball and all she does while she is on her stomach is shake her legs...haha... i think brandon bought the giant purple ball for himself...hahaha.

My Little "ibaby" Brandon will turn his phone to nature sounds when she starts getting fussy and she just grabs it and sticks it in her mouth... haha... the things you will do to make your baby happy... give her a $300 dollar phone she can slobber all over...haha.

Oh yeah.. I am so happy Miriah recived the pettiskirt i sent lulu. She sent me a Picture of her daughter Lulu with her American Doll Emma... Emma is modeling the little pettiskirt i made for lulu's doll!!!! I am so happy it fits her and i am ecstatic that she likes it!! Makes me happy knowing that if Taylor ever comes up to me and asks me to make her dollies something, i can :)

HOOTERS!!!!

Strange Title.. but over at Kelly's Blog the topic for "Show us Your Life" Is how you met your husband... Well to make a Long story short... actually its pretty short...haha... I had just quit my job and i needed a job FAST, i was living with my roommate and the bills needed to be paid! SO my friend Miriah told me i should work at Hooters... i contemplated on this idea for like 2 weeks, after no luck of finding a job that would work with my school schedule i decided to find my shortest shorts and go fill out an application... needless to say, my parents were not happy... at all.. ahh whatever!!! (i said that then, now i have a daughter and i understand there over protectiveness) This guy comes up to me and introduces himself as Brandon the 1st assistant... and interviewed me asked me some personal questions (i thought at least) it was like a 30 min interview... (later he told me that he just wanted to know more about me and the interviews usually last 5 min) WELL i got hired... and hated it... haha i knew i would.. but i had to pay rent... i worked a double one saturday night and made $250 bucks... then later that night i had a really rude old man graze my a**... well i was there for 2 weeks, and quit after that saturday shift... that Sunday morning (Brandon's Shift) i didn't show up! haha he called me that night and asked me out... LOL... i usually wouldn't go out with someone i barley knew, but for some reason it just felt right... i know my roommate Amy was like You are crazy...But that was how i met my husband.... yikes.. the things i have to explain to my daughter when she grows up...
This was us the 1st week we started dating we went out to a bar called Choppers and my friend Miriah was taking pictures like crazy!!! As you can tell Brandon is wearing the Bright Hooters shirt... and i was 20 pounds lighter... have you noticed there are no pictures of me on this blog... because after i lose those 20 pounds i will...hahaha.

Random day....

Nothing really going on lately.. Brandon took some photos of Taylor playing with his hat yesterday and thought they were cute!!

Brandon had to work on the yard today.... procrastination finally lost and he had to mow and fix up the back of the house where all the old dead plants from winter needed to be cut down... so i decided to go outside and bother him with taylor

A few days ago i posted my picture of Taylor in her petti-skirt that i made her and one of my friends Miriah saw it and asked me if i could make a "doll" size for her daughter Lulu's American Girl doll Emma... Seriously this little girl has everything in the entire world... so gift giving i'm sure is hard because she practically has the entire Toy's R Us... and Little Girl section at Nieman Marcus....LOL. So when she offered to pay, i thought no way, this would be the perfect gift... handmaking stuff is so much fun, and so much more meaningful too!!! Lulu will have the ONLY "little posh bebe" petti skirt for a doll.... because that was the hardest thing i ever made the chiffon fabric is so slippery that my sewing machine was fighting with me because it was TINY SIZE!!! haha it turned out alright, the headband turned out even better... Now Emma and lulu get to dress up in pettiskirts together! How Presh!
Taylor dosn't have any baby dolls yet, so i put her my little pony in the outfit to show miriah!

P.S. On a better note... i announced on facebook that Brandon broke my $600 Nikon camera... TRAGIC... he broke the lens when he dropped it in the bathroom when we were going to take a picture of taylor taking a bath in the yellow duck... (that duck was NOT a good idea she screamed the entire bath time) but anyways... the lens are about 150 bucks to replace...like half the lens is sunk in so when you go to focus the camera it sounds like a garbage disposal and you have to twist it really hard to get it to zoom... BUTTTTT even though its super ghetto now, it still works... when the camera lens completely breaks i suppose i'll invest in another one... if you can't tell i love taking pictures of Taylor!! So, no worries Ms. Pat more pictures of your Great Grand Baby Taylor to come.... I also told brandon what you said about his Birthday gift... i don't think he liked that idea!! hahaha.

Good Night Everyone!

How Posh....

When i was pregnant with Taylor i used to scour the internet for beautiful baby clothes (of course nothing i could afford) Brandon was always working late and i would stay up on my computer just surfing the net.... so of course i had like a huge "Want List" of pretty things for my little girl... but i had to be realistic because i am 26 and its not like i am rich... so what is a mom to do... well find things almost as similar to what i want but more affordable!!! There is this designer, her name is Kaiya Eve and she is the designer who make the "original" pettiskirt... well there was this adorable purple flower pettiskirt onsale for $50.00 (they usually go for $80)... i could not comprehend spending $50.00 on a pretty dress that she will be able to wear for a month or two, trust me i went over in my head about why i needed this outfit for Taylor... then i thought... ummm... no i think i need to go buy 5 boxes of diapers!!! This is a photo of the dress i wanted to get her....

Well... this was a project that i worked on for Taylor... it took me about 2 days to finish it because i had no idea what the heck i was doing... but now that i have everything together i could probably make one in 2 hours....maybe..... hahaha... I just love that instead of buying that $50 outfit, i got to make this beautiful pettiskirt from a couple yards of chiffon. Hopefully it will mean something to her one day... also getting to play dress up was fun too!!! i think Taylor knows what the camera is... because when i bring it out, she smiles (i don't have to make goofy noises anymore!)

For some reason when i edited this photo her eyes turned blue, i promise i did not make them blue (they are still beautiful!)... We have no idea what color her eyes are some days they look blue with brown and some days green with brown, they are really pretty though!

I made her a headband and shoes to match her Petti-Skirt... and Ms. Pat (Taylor's Mam-maw) if you notice those are the Pearls you got me two christmas ago!!! They are beautiful!!

these two photos remind me of something that would be on a movie because it has the little "wide screen" boarder to it!

It was beautiful today... 75... and just georgous... out of the 12 months here in Wisconsin this is the weather i look foward to!! we decided to go outside and try to take some photos, the previous owners of this house planted a bunch of tulip bulbs that come out every spring... and they are just blooming!!! (of course i wish i could take credit for the beautiful flowers that are growing all over the house, but i can't handle plants... which reminds me... i need to water a plant, if its still alive... yikes!) We got outside and took maybe 3 photos and these giant wasps came around us, i grabbed Taylor and we ran inside... today was the first day that i noticed the scary bugs are out now.... yuck... this is the only outside photo i got of her..

She is a little flirt when it comes to looking at a mirror!

This was the last photo, Taylor was like get me outta this dress and lets go watch Baby Einstein already!!!!!!

Toys! Toys! Toys!

Ummm today was TOY day for Taylor, because we had nothing else to do... so we would put money in her princess piggy bank every now and then for a rainy day (today was sunny though) and just get her toys! She just started playing with toys this week.. i mean she has always played with rattles, stuffed animals and chew toys.... but this christmas my mom and dad bought taylor like a zillion v-tech and leap frog play things... well finally, after 4 months since christmas taylor has taken interest in them... last week, we sat on the floor with this animal thing that sings "old McDonald" and she screamed!!!!! so i said maybe in a couple weeks well a few days ago she was being a brat so i sat her in her crib and gave her that music toy and she just started banging on it... she was entertained for a good 30 min!!! lol.. i will take whatever i can get. so other than her christmas toys she really didn't have any so brandon and I went to target to get her a few... it was fun!!! I think Brandon and I had more fun in the toy section then taylor... i mean she was banging on the toys but i was getting so excited that one day we can play princess and have tea parties!!! I kinda wondered while i was looking at all those toys.... if my mom at my age was excited about playing with my toys??? HAHAHA... whatev, in a few years i get to play barbies with my daughter... until she screams at me to get out of her room.... booo... don't want that day to come... but i know it will.. anyways here are a few photos!!

This is Taylor today, i just love her little dress... i like the style... surprisingly its from old navy and it was 10$... umm.. old navy has defiantly gotten better clothes since i used to work there... i used to fold the clothes there and gag and think who wears this stuff... there company must have gotten a new buyer of clothes because i love there clothes now... and most defiantly the PRICE... yes... i think everything i own is from old navy... hahaha. We were waiting for daddy to get ready so we could go to target and go toy shopping!

This is her new trick... she has learned that she can stick her foot in her mouth... even with shoes on... haha

This is Taylor and Brandon playing with the toys....

Ok so i saw this blow up duck (it is for the bathtub) at target and thought this would be perfect for the tub... taylor has a slant that she lays on in the big tub, but she always tries to want to sit up... but of course she is not strong enough and if i sit her in the tub she wants to go foward or backwards and that is too dangerous with the water... so this blow up duck is perfect so i can sit her up in the tub she can learn to play with her toys and if she falls sideways or something it is like a float! Yes, i know it looks silly... but i am totally going to fill it up with water and put her in her swimmy suit and got outside with this giant duck! haha... also... the beak quacks... really... hahaha
If you take a look at the pictures below you can tell how the process of "getting to know" the duck went... at the end it was a success... tomorrow night will be her first night in the duck tub because i want brandon to see it and he had to work tonight.

Sooo... i created something new.. and i am really proud of it. I just love it and i will post more about that soon! Miss you all!
